School's Out - Fun's In!
School may be out for teacher in-service, but the fun is in at Maywood! We have a fun filled day planned for your child, including indoor and outdoor activities, games, snacks, arts & crafts and more. Activities are for children in 1st-6th grades (ages 7-12). Please pack a lunch for you child each day and inform our staff of any special needs on your registration form. Registration is on a first come-first serve basis. Registration deadline is October 20 at 3pm.Limit 30 children per day. Programs run rain or shine. Keep your child busy and entertained at Maywood!

Maywood provides snacks and drinks throughout the day

EcoTykes - "Nature Nuts"

ages 3-6

June 16-18, 2010

Camp runs from 9:30-11:30am. A hands-on nature discovery camp for kids between 3 and 6 years old. Educational instructors will guide children as they explore the wonders of nature, develop an appreciation for the environment, and help them utilize their senses to understand our natural world. Fun and learning go hand in hand during this camp. Indoor activities will be provided should we experience inclement weather. Limit 20 campers. $60/child; $50/Association member.

Early Birds Session I -"Best of the Best "

ages 7-9

June 21-25, 2010

In Early Birds I, campers get a sample of all our camp favorites! We'll hunt for crayfish, canoe over turtles, watch birds with binoculars, and perfect the art of mudpies! Our beginning day campers will also learn all our classic camp songs, crafty crafts and a fun introduction to some of our locla natural resources! If you like making new friends and playing games get your play clothes on for this awesome beginning adventure.

Limit 25 Campers. Camp runs from 9am to 4pm daily. We will provide snacks, but please pack a brown bag lunch and milk for your camper. There is no overnight with this camp. Cost: $110 per child; $90 for Association Members.

EcoAdventurers - "The Great Race"

ages 10-13

June 28-July 2

This is the best of the challenge camps yet! Each day begins with a challenge and we never look back! You'll rely on your sense of direction, and sense of humor to successfully arrive at each "daily destination." Rain or shine, there's an adventure around each corner. Who will be left standing at the end of this crazy camp?

Limit 15 Campers. Camp runs from 9am to 4pm daily. A schedule of events will be sent with confirmation materials. Cost: $130 per child; $110 for Association Members.

Early Birds II - "Planet Maywood Explorers"

ages 7-9

July 12-16

It's an exciting time to be a Maywood Explorer as we discover the mysterious "Planet Maywood". Every day, we gather information on thehabitats and inhabitants of this strange place. We will learn to use the necessary exploration equipment and have a ground-breaking informational seminar for our parents at the end of the week! Do you have what it takes to be a Maywood Explorer! Join our crew this summer!

Limit 25 Campers. Camp runs from 9am to 4pm daily. Cost: $140 per child; $120 for Association Members.

EcoTykes - "Icky, Slimy, Gooey Camp"

ages 3-6

July 19-23, 2010

Camp runs 9:30-11:30am each day. Let your child unleash their natural creativity! Kids will explore nature and record their discoveries through fun art projects. In this camp presented by Abrakadoodle, participants will learn about the nature of Maywood and create projects such as Gyotaku Doodles (Japanese fish prints), Icky Bug Doodles, Lizard Doodles, Slinky Snake Doodles, Underground Doodles (pictures of bugs that love underground, and more! Leave the clean-up to us! Note the July and August camp will cover the same material. $130/child; $120 Association member.

EcoExplorers - "H2Oh Yeah!"

ages 10-13

July 26-30

Time to get off the couch and into the water! Each day is full of a new water challenge, and of course loads of watery fun. A day at the beach has a whole new meaning as we have sand castle contests, fishing trips, canoeing contests and more. If you are looking for new water skills or want a change to soak your friends and maybe parents too, then sign-up today!

Limit 15 Campers. Camp runs from 9am to 4pm daily. $120 per child; $100 for Association Members.

Early Birds III - "Where Our Wild Things Are" ages 7-9 August 2-6

Beneath the rocks in the stream, at the bottom of the pond, the tops of the trees, so many fascinating critters await discovery! We know our EcoCampers are not afraid of meeting new creatures, and learning about the wild world around us. If you have a love of wild animals, this is the camp for you! We will have great speakers, hands-on experiences, and meet professionals in the wildlife field!

Limit 25 campers. Camp runs from 9am-4pm daily. Cost: $130 per child; $110 Association Member

Thank you for your interest in Ellwood H. May Environmental Park's summer day camp program. We are all looking forward to an exciting summer of nature adventures! Please read over all the information in the registration packet and call Rebecca Clarke, Naturalist, if you have any questions at 920.459.3906.

REGISTRATION STEPS:

1. FORMS Fill out the registration and health forms. Be sure to fill out all the sections carefully and completely. It is very important to sign all of the Authorizations. Review the age requirements of camp; campers must be the correct age at the time of camp to participate.

2. FEES Enclose your full registration fee to reserve a spot at camp. Make checks out to Maywood. Sorry, we do not accept credit cards at this time. To receive discounted rate, your family must be as Association Member at the time of registration.

3. CONFIRMATION A confirmation packet will be mailed after we receive your registration form and payment. Confirmation packets include a Welcome Letter, Camp Start Date, List of Things to Bring, tentative camp schedule, arrival and departure information, and a map with directions. Camp schedules are not finalized until closer to the actual camp date. We will keep you posted on scheduling changes.
